I feel like I don't want to become someone who ends up getting to a point in life where I keep regretting things I've done or things I have not done in life. I struggle to believe in myself and accept that I'm different and shouldn't feel bad about not doing things just because other ''normal'' people do them. Things such as regular outings with friends to a pub, a bar, etc. I feel like sometimes I do accept who I am and would much prefer to watch a documentary or read a book than having a drink down in a pub on a weekend but when I am not in the right mood, the thoughts of comparing to other people and stuff start re-igniting again.

I felt that way last night when I could hear a party of presumably people younger than me singing, screaming and having a good time left me feeling like I just wasted life because I was the type of person who didn't like going to nightclubs or bars on a weekend and was never invited to parties from people I knew from school except a couple which I didn't go to and was invited one time to go out with people I knew from school who lived down the road from me but declined. These things seem to reinforce in my head that I haven't ''lived'' and therefore I feel bad about it. I even remind myself of someone telling me to try abseiling or climbing rocks during a trip to the Peak District with the Princes Trust and saying ''I only live once'' and ''you don't know until you try it''. It makes me feel bad for not always saying Yes to everything.

Everyone has regrets.

You can't do everything in life, there's always trade-offs, there's always paths left unexplored and goals that were never prioritized.

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

Yes, if you're lucky, the regrets you get won't cover any of the big things that matter most. Personally, I've only got a couple and they're things that I still have time to do something about.
