| : Hi you guys: my name is Scott and i have Aspergers. Just wanted to know if other Aspies have these particular and peculiar syndromes. I have always felt like an alien (since childhood) observing but not really fitting in or a part of. I always felt that way to some extent, but it wasn't unt... |

| Hi skonamis, I'm sorry I haven't been on WP for a bit. I'm so glad to hear the boy is behaving a bit better, but I don't blame you for still being terrified. I would be if I were in your shoes. Anxiety meds sound like a good idea for the time being if there are any that work for you. I'm glad you've... |

Writing him a happy ending and sharing that with a fanfic community who likes the same character sounds like a very positive way to deal with the loss you are feeling.
Hang in there. |

| I'm with Janissy. It doesn't just sound ugly to me; it sounds self-defeating, a way to miss out on too much of the world. At my IQ, that cuts out 99.999% of the population. Ever try being on the other end? I've run into people with that attitude before -- of claiming those less intellectually gifted... |

| Also -- I don't find women to be terribly great judges of what women should or shouldn't be attractive to men (and vice versa). If you showed those same women to some brutally frank men, they could probably pinpoint the issue. It's possible that a lot of the men here in similar straits need that ki... |

| WTF????! !! !???? Where are you getting this "low libido" and "not masculine" nonsense from? That was pretty much my reaction too. therange's posts come across to me as "healthy interest in sexuality uncomplicated by performative masculinity", which, by the way, is to drool for stuff for quite a lo... |

| Well I fit within the appearance and behavior description you've provided of women you like, and your post mostly made me think, "Want to go on a date? Do you live anywhere near me?" So no, what you're saying not only isn't a turn-off, but it's going to sound very good to many women. It's not going ... |

You may have already tried this, but ask if you can apply for an exception to being allowed to stay on campus. Some campuses do have loopholes, but you have to go hunting for them.
Any chance you can haunt libraries while you're at home? Claim to be studying. |

| Move out if you can. Your parents are going to think that as long as they provide you with some resources, they should get to have some say in how you live your life. Right or wrong, that's pretty common. The only way around it is to accept no resources from them. Then when they try to tell you how ... |

| I'm with those in favor of accepting that you are experiencing real grief and loss and allowing yourself to mourn accordingly. The grief and loss are real, even if the source is unconventional. Forming attachments to things with naturally short lifespans is going to continue to lead to grief and los... |

That was horrible of your sister to do -- have you talked to her about it?
I agree with those who are saying to try just to forget about it as far as people at school go. If they couldn't tell before, they'll forget about it pretty quickly. |

| "It's a Child, Not a Choice" bumper stickers I always feel sorry for the children of people with those stickers. What a cold, hateful message to send to your children -- you're not a choice, you're something I'm stuck with. Kids would much rather hear that their parents had all the choices in the w... |
