Yes. Since I was a child I have never understood the natural progression of life and in addition I have been afraid of it and tried to hide myself. I hate and fear change yet I want a better way of life, then it can resume stagnation. IstominFan I am one of the more highly educated AS people on this...

Hate, well not exactly. I dislike new years because its arbitrary and I dot care at all for the boring social aspect. Most people aren't interested in discussing anything that gets too in-depth. I prefer an exchange of worthwhile information, not how your children reacted to their Christmas presents...

How to answer that 5 year question is incomprehensible to me. Type O Negatives song "Anesthesia" has a line "Longing for the past but dreading the future" and I'm stuck in that loop

Life sometimes makes me wish I were dead(or more so never born). Central Park is beautiful this time of year. Go for a walk, visit the Met, have coffee and people watch, and only concern yourself with the therapist at the actual visit. What I mean is try offset the negative aspects of life with thin...

I was taken from my mother and father and raised by her abusive adoptive parents. They refused my autism diagnosis and blamed me for everything. Not going to go into all of it here but you aren't alone in this I'm sure by more than just me. Incidentally I share Einstein's birthday.

I don't care what you believe. Many people "believe" things that aren't objectively true. Astrology and Religion are two that come to mind.

I agree with BirdInFlight! Living through some adversity doesn't necessarily make a person "stronger" it simply means they lived through it without dying. In fact worst case you may be weaker. Its a platitude to make weak feel better about their circumstances. I'm not saying some don't bec...

I should have said "waiting for their turn to talk." in that particular conversation. But I think Chichikov's answers were more easily understood. His advice was very clear. Since you're in the arts I wouldn't worry too much. People who deal with artists seem to understand or at least acce...

Btw. That response would have been to long for a neurotypical. They tend to not be looking so much for an answer as a reason to talk again

This is kind of asking a blind person to describe the Grand Canyon. Joke. I think more important than worrying about a script you should be more conscience of your expressions. NT's are more engaged by smiles and positive body language than what is said. I tend to be flat when I speak so I have to r...

I find it abysmal to listen to peoples nonsensical details unless it pertains to something for which I care. I don't think this is specific to people on the spectrum however. Most people only care about what they are interested in but want you to care as well.

I have made a few acquaintances online, not true friends though. I don't make or care to make friends however. It's interesting to see this thread because I thought the aforementioned and my age were the reasons.

Thanks to the DNA and Genome discoveries we now know there is no such thing as race. In fact no color of human is as far apart as the common Chimpanzee is from its cousin the Bonobo Chimpanzee Race is not speciation. It is just simply morphological changes. If there was not 'race' the forensic peop...
